Hi, You’ve most likely noticed that all of the blog posts so far have been from Alistair who does a great job of dissecting the numbers and posting interesting insights into the market on both this blog and his industry focussed Unconditional blog. Today that changes as I step up to the plate and take on a more public profile for zoodle.co.nz and hence a more active role on the blog.
I’ve been working on the site from the beginning and I’m really excited about where we want to take the site in the future. If you’ve got any suggestions for the site, comments, questions, criticisms or just want to chat about property information I’m all ears. Feel free to comment on the blog, connect on LinkedIn,call me on +64 (9) 300 4153 or via email – glen@zoodle.co.nz.
Thanks,
Glen Barnes
Delighted to have you provide this conversation platform for Zoodle – you have been very much a part of the site since day zero and it is perfect for you to take on this role.
Helps me focus on realestate.co.nz and Unconditional.
As a regular user of and blogger on realestate.co.nz and a new user to zoodle.co.nz from both sides of the fence (I’m a real estate agent who uses the info to pass on to prospective buyers, and I am currently also looking to buy personally) I look forward to regular insightful and fresh updates in your blog.
I also congratulate you on a well thought out site that delivers some genuinely new enhancements to the info that has been the staple of the real estate industry for many years (such as the local market data reports by suburb and the ability for users to add suburb content).
It will be great to see if you can step out of the shadow of other similar websites to provide regular users with greater detail and high quality information that is relevant.
All the best
Dave Garratt
PS. Any chance that you can introduce the tenancy services rental info into the suburb data to give a view of the rental potential of a house or area? This would be a great addition to the info you already provide.
Hi David,
Thanks for the feedback on the site. We have really tried to bring a simple but powerful interface to the site and to try to bring a slightly different angle to some of the data. We have a lot of great ideas lined up for this year in terms on additional data sets and how we deliver them. We have looked at the rental data and we will introduce this at some point in the future but we want to make sure we can really add value to the data set first. Stay tuned!
Glen
Thank you to the creator of this site. It is a superb addition to the web for fledgling property investors to access the “bones” of the market and focus on any particular property they are acutely interested in. Your reports on the state of the property market and are both timely and relevant. Congratulations !
