Known as one of the "leafy suburbs", Mt Albert is only a few kilometers from the Auckland CBD and is well served by motorways heading north, south and west.
Mt Albert itself (Maori name Owairaka) is an extinct volcano, now extensively used for sport and recreation by the local community.
Nearby at Western Springs, you'll find MOTAT, the Auckland Zoo and adjoining
lake and park, which are a peaceful haven in our bustling city.
