About Westmere - Auckland:
Westmere is a popular inner city suburb just 10 minutes drive from the CBD. The area is predominantly occupied by bungalows and has approximately 1300 homes that are located in a tightly confined area that runs from Wellpark Avenue in the East down to the waterfont Rawene Ave in the West. The are is spilt into two parts being the paralell avenues off Garnet Road and the very popular Peninsular off Lemington Rd.
With great parks and beaches, the area attracts many young families. Westmere primary school is popular and there are many other schooling options in nearby Grey Lynn and Pt Chevalier.
With it's proximity to the CBD, and the nightlife of Ponsonby just up the road, it is also a popular area for young professionals.
Westmere - Auckland Shopping:
The main shopping strip in Westmere is located on the corner of Garnet Rd and Westend Rd and that includes cafes, bottle store, takeaways and butcher. Another popular destination nearby is the West Lynn shops on Richmond Rd and the Woolworths supermarket. St Lukes mall is only a 10mins drive away.

Westmere is well served for public transport with buses running down Garnet Rd and Westend Rd back into the City.
