Crown Hill is centrally located within Aucklands' North Shore City. Located on the Eastern side of the Northern motorway, Crown Hill is conveniently located between surrounding suburbs of Milford, Castor Bay, Campbells Bay, Mairangi Bay and Sunnynook.
The area is well established with many homes built in the 1960's and 1970's. Many of these homes have now undergone renovation to provide larger family homes. Crown Hill has easy access to transport, beaches, parks, shopping and schools.
The area is sought after for schools including Forrest Hill school, Sunnynook school, Campbells Bay school for primary education, Wairau and Takapuna Normal for intermediate education and for secondary schools Westlake Boys High school, Westlake Girls High school, Carmel College and Rosmini College. With a diverse range of cultures Crown Hill enjoys a friendly family environment.

Whilst Crown Hill does not have a designated shopping area, nearby shopping centres of Milford, Glenfield, Albany and Link Drive are popular with local residents.
