About Hillcrest:
Hillcrest is a suburb which forms part of Auckland's North Shore City. Located on the western side of the northern motorway Hillcrest is conveniently located between surrounding suburbs of Northcote, Birkenhead and Glenfield.
This central North Shore location provides easy access to transport, beaches, shopping and schools. The area is well established with many homes built in the 1960s and 1970s, popular with people who enjoy renovating large family homes.
The area is sought after for schools including Willow Park Primary, Sunnybrae Primary and parts of the suburb fall within the zone for Takapuna Normal Intermediate School, Westlake Girls High School and Westlake Boys High School. Whilst Hillcrest does not have a designated shopping area it is well served by local dairies, fruit shops, chemists. The nearby shopping centres of Glenfield Mall and Northcote are popular with local residents.
