The area also offers a wide range of quality schools, mall and boutique shopping, cinemas, recreational facilities, parks, and a truly comprehensive choice of conventional and multi-cultural dining.

Northcote Shopping:

From superettes to supermarkets, Northcote is well serviced for your shopping needs. Northcote Shopping Centre on Lake Road has a variety of shops and eateries, including a popular food hall and supermarket. The Fox Outlet Centre just around the corner is always a place to find a bargain, and just up the road is Highbury which offers a range of fashion and variety stores along with cafes an a supermarket. Westfield Glenfield and Takapuna are both only a few minutes drive, and it's an easy hop onto the motorway to the Albany or City centres.

Transport:

Northcote is handily situated, and while many streets are in walking distance to local shops the area is well served by a comprehensive bus service providing transport within the locality and to, Auckland City, Takapuna and other destinations. Taxi stands can be found in the main shopping centres. City commuting is made even easier by the option of a relaxing ferry ride from Northcote or Birkenhead Points!
