A beautiful suburb in the East of Christchurch with lots of green spaces, plenty of playgrounds and parks (hence the name.) A wonderful blend of young families with children and retired people, which has created a very friendly and supportive community where everyone looks out for each other. Mostly modern homes with beautiful gardens and proud owners aleays have time to say hello or have a chat as you walk past. Minutes from Burwood Forest, New Brighton Beach & Parklands shopping centre, a good choice of primary schools & a library.

Parklands Shopping Centre has a Supermarket, Post & Lotto shop, Pharmacy, Beauty Salon, Dog grooming store, DVD store, Real Estate Office, Law Firm, Bank, 2 cafes, Subway, Indian Restaurant, Chinese takeaway, Fish n chips, Robies Tavern and a Library with Cafe. Across the road is the Communite Centre, Gymnasium, United Sports Club & Sports fields, Plunket Rooms, Toy Library, Physiotherapist & Church - plus parking galore!

Transport:

Well serviced by a regular bus service to CBD and greater Chch every 10-15 mins from many stops around Parklands. CBD is short 20 minute drive, as is the airport.
