Sydenham is a small suburb based at the bottom of the Port Hills. Surrounded by main streets it has easy access to all corners of Christchurch while remaining a quiet suburban suburb. Being in close proximity to Parks, Post Shops, Medical Clinics, and close to the centre city there is something for everyone in Sydenham.
Sydenham Shopping:
Sydenham itself does not have any major shopping centres or malls but being so close to main routes in and around Christchurch allows easy travel to the shops in the city centre, as well as the major malls in Christchurch.
Transport:
Sydenham is fortunately situated close to the city and therefore is only a short distance from many taxis and the bus depot providing transport around Christchurch, and other areas of the South Island. Sydenham is also frequented by a regular bus service making public transport easy for its residents.
