About Atawhai:
Nelson's northern coastal suburb, also encompassing satellite suburbs Tui Glen & Dodsons Valley. With many elevated home sites it's popular with those seeking to be out of town, but less than a 5 minute drive away. If you have an elevated property here there's a good chance you'll have Tasman Bay or at least some sea views.
As the sunsets in the West-South West those same homes will enjoy fabulous sunsets too. Homes are generally priced slightly higher than in Nelson, mainly reflecting the elevated sites with views.
Atawhai Shopping:
A local dairy and hairdresser are located at the north-western end of Dodson Valley Rd in Marybank.
Transport:
'The Bus' provides transport from Atawhai. The service goes as far north as Clifton Terrace. There are about 7-8 daily trips on its current schedule.
