About Brighton - Dunedin City:
Brighton is a small seaside town within the city limits of Dunedin. It is located 20 kilometres southwest from the city centre on the Southern Scenic Route. The town faces a small bay which is favoured with a broad sheltered beach. Other beaches extend from here and Taieri Mouth, 20 kilometres to the south. They make the area popular for summer day trips from Dunedin.
A delightful lifesaver patrolled bay ideal for surfers and swimmers. With great ocean views, whales have been seen off the coast. Sealions, seals and penguins come to explore the beach from time to time. There is a camping ground on Brighton Road, complete with a superette at the gate. Boat hire is available at the camping ground.
Brighton is just 15 minutes to Dunedin, and handy to Dunedin airport over Law Road.

Transport:
Buses travel frequently through Green Island to Dunedin.
