About Queenwood:
Situated in the central east side of Hamilton, Queenwood is a well established area consisting mainly of family and executive homes. The housing ranges from the 1950's through to new built homes, however brick and tile homes built in the 1970's tend to dominate.
Queenwood Shopping:
Botique shopping centre, “Queenwood Village” on Herbert Rd, offers gift/home wares stores along with a book shop and women’s fashion boutique. Nearby Westfield Shopping Centre on Hukanui road has over 80 shops undercover. Many of the national chain specialty shops can be found here. Across the road Lyndon Court houses some bulk retailers while next door the Chartwell professional suites offer a dentist, an optometrist and other medical specialists.
Transport:
Approximately 6 km from the CBD. Queenwood is served by buses from the CBD at 30 minute intervals (on week days). It is all serviced by the new Orbiter bus service that runs clockwise and anticlockwise via the University, the Hospital, Dinsdale, The Base and Chartwell.

Eating Out:
There is a small number of quality dining spots in the Queenwood Village including tapas bar “Zinc”, along with some daytime cafes and your usual mix of takeaway bars. Westfield also has a wide range of fast food and cafes in its food court.
