About Temple View:

With a population of approximately 1400 Temple View is a lovely community village 8 kilometres from Hamiltons CBD. Temple View is famous for it’s Temple, the biggest Mormon Church in the Southern Hemisphere. Temple View is also famous for its spectacular light display at Christmas. A gift to the community featuring 100,000 lights on more than 120 bushes and trees. The Temple Christmas Lights run alongside the TempleView Community Christmas Lights and are a gift to the community for all to enjoy. Choirs and group carol singing provide entertainment before the lights are switched on. Lights on from 9.15pm until midnight.

Temple View has a strong family community. Many families choose to send their children to the local country, Koromatua or local Dinsdale schools. The Church College of New Zealand is located in the heart of Temple View.

Temple View Shopping:

There is a dairy located at Temple View. The Dinsdale Shopping complex is also nearby, or the Dinsdale Shopping complex with specialty shops including a supermarket, doctors, pharmacy, takeaways.

Transport:

There is a public bus service into the CBD with stops along the way including Foster Road, McKay Drive, Cowley Road.

In neighbouring Dinsdale are convenience food establishments such as bakeries, roast shops, Indian takeaways, and Pizza Hut. Also in the Dinsdale shopping complex are the bar/restaurants The Dinsdale Office, and Savage Rock.
