About Stokes Valley:
Predominately a middle class residential suburb, Stokes Valley is known in the Hutt Valley as being a friendly child-orientated area, boasting three schools, three kindergartens, and a child care centre.
Add to this the indoor swimming pool, library, plus a huge array of sports and cultural clubs. There are also numerous sports fields and parks, making for a lovely family friendly environment.
Stokes Valley Shopping:
At the local shopping centre all your needs are catered for with a supermarket, chemists, laundrette, pet shop, takeaways, and video store. The shopping centre is within walking distance of most of Stokes Valley's streets.
Transport:
Transport is well taken care of with an excellent bus service to Hutt City (15 minutes away), and a bus link service to the local train stations which can have you in Wellington in thirty or so minutes. Added to this is the 'Flyer' bus service which takes you directly into the Wellington CBD with minimal stops.
